The Revolution Project aims to revolutionize the political process of our city by building the grassroots infrastructure that will forever hold our local government accountable.
We hold our local government accountable via community education, mobilization, and aid.
We educate our neighbors on the issues and how to be effective activists.
We mobilize our activists to systematically convince constituents to pressure their local politicians.
We aid our unhoused neighbors and build resiliency by distributing supplies from those that we organize.
Currently, we are organizing to improve the conditions of the Muscogee County Jail. Our incarcerated neighbors, many of whom are not yet found guilty, receive zero sunlight and next to no recreation time. To remedy this, we organize to get an outdoor courtyard built and to get mandated an hour per day of outdoor recreation time.
To our city council, we have three demands:
We demand that an outdoor courtyard be built at the new jail.
We demand that our inmates receive one hour of outdoor recreation per day.
We demand that funds be approved to hire more correctional officers so that this increased movement of our inmates can be facilitated.
